Pat Pendleton is a multidisciplinary artist who has pursued painting for forty years and shown work in San Francisco, New York and Denver while residing in those places prior to returning to Western New York in 2005. Her work has been exhibited in numerous regional venues, including a survey of one hundred pieces in a 2012 solo show, Curious Evidence, at the former Artspace Buffalo Gallery.
Twenty paintings were featured in a 2024 three-artist exhibition, Three Degrees of Abstraction at Carnegie Art Center. Most recently, The Comma Fine art Gallery in Orchard Park represented her painting during 2025, including a featured artist talk titled A Way In.
A member of Buffalo Society of Artists, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center and Western New York Artists Group, Pat is also a former mental health clinician and art therapist. She has published reviews of local art exhibitions in the Buffalo weekly publications Art Voice and The Public during 2013-2015. Her memoir, The Shape of Becoming: Woman in the Mirror, was published in 2023 and her essays regularly appear in her Substack newsletter called This. Pat maintains a studio in her Angola, New York home.
